Gym itself is pretty small, with small groupings of necessary machinery, with staff that serves mostly in French. Equipment such as exercise bikes, and treadmills are poorly maintained. In fact, at the time of this writing, four out of seven treadmills were out of service, and four out of seven exercise bikes were missing pedal restrainers(rubber part on the pedal of the bike that keeps your foot in place). Curiously enough, six out of seven treadmills are an exact same make/model, yet they seem to have completely different setup results. For example: speed adjusted to 4.5 on one machine, will yield twice the speed with very same setting(4.5)on the next one,so if you're not aware of that fact, you could literally fly off that machine!! Oh, and by the way, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, showers, and the locker room, are not exclusively for gym visitor, but for all the resident of Port de Mer complex.
Should close pretty soon. Minuscule, old, dingy, equipment is used and obsolete and weights aren't good for serious trainers. Don't trust the pictures on their website, they are 10 years old. Considering they charge 50% more than Buzzfit, Econofitness, Fit for Life and well pretty much everything else that came out in the last 5 years there's not a chance they survive once their lease expires.
You can do solid workouts here. However, staff is very unfriendly (except the short hair girl, 5 stars to her) and lots of equipments are simply way too old, some even broken. I recommend only if you dont mind dealing with things a little broken.
Pricey for a gym with minimum service. There's not a lot of machines (1 of each is their motto). You end up waiting if there are people. The "free session with a trainer" sucked for me. The guy weoghed me, told me my body fat percentage and told me what I should do, but did not do any physical assessment. The hours are okay, but the week end schedule is a joke. Also like, I sae a guy bring in Benny once and chill with the employee? The employees are usually pretty nice, and the gym is in a decent condition. It needs a gokd dusting and sweeping, though.
The gym itself is OK. All the basics for machines and weights are there, not that much room, but it's very bearable. The staff is cool, although I did stumble a few times on some that were not very helpful. The pool is a good thing and it is kept fairly clean (at least, I swam several times in it without ever catching anything weird). The changing room is tiny and not pleasant to go, especially during winter when lots of idiots get there with their boots. Some of the showers have algae growing in them. The place is obviously old and needs renovations. One redeeming factor, subscribing there also gives access to the other M Fitness gyms in Montreal.
