The good: very close to Montreal. About 15 drive to Notre Dame Basilica. Beautiful view of water from some sites.The bad: No water hookup at sites and no public showers. Fresh water fill at dump station which some people use to rinse out their black. Yuck. It's Not 30 amp. Maybe 20 amp. Our surge protector kept shutting off our power when running our AC. ( we had NOTHING else running.) Sites are quite narrow ( 22ft) but very long (70+ft). No reservations allowed. First come first served. Got here on Friday morning at 11am. Lost of sites to choose from. By 11am Saturday place was almost full.
There's lots of space with and without electricity. There are two dump stations and water refills. It's quiet at night and you get a view of Montreal across the river. Plus it's very close to old part of Montreal. You can take a ferry for $7.50 per person during the week ferry leaves every 30min from 11am to 7pm. Weekends it starts at 9am. Also there is a bike path to old Port Montreal that will take about 10 minutes.
Definitely camp here! It was right on the water and was bloody beautiful. We were so lucky to find this place. Walking distance from Montreal. Little guard at the entrance looking at the vehicles. There was trash cans and recycling and water and dumping available. Right next to the marina. Loved it for RV Camping.
Great place to come fireworks during LaRonde fire work season.Nice restaurant not far.Ferry to laRonde and Old Port of Montreal available as well.
Nice marina across the river from the old port. Little hard to find by car but we met a local guide there for a day of fishing on the Saint Lawrence river
